What is Your Favorite Form of Staying Healthy?

February 14, 2013, 06:30 PM

There are so many ways to stay healthy because of the technology to expand our awareness of the different modalities. In order to create a better experience for ours users, we're curious. What is your favorite way to stay healthy?

Whether it's on a trail, on the treadmill, or on the track, running is good for your heart and upper respiratory system. It works your legs while keeping your heart and lungs healthy and strong. But running can put strain on the knees and ankles, over-expose your skin to sun damage, or cause joint damage from misalignment.
For those that enjoy pushing their body but hate going to the gym, yoga is a fantastic alternative to the standard group workout routine. Focusing on both the mind and body, yoga is exercise and meditation wrapped into one. Yoga isn't necessarily for everyone, but it's a great way to add variety to your regimen.
Weight Lifting
Either at the gym or at home, lifting weights is great way for someone to trim the fat while toning muscle. There are limitations to the types of muscle groups one can work at home versus at the gym, usually focusing on the arms and upper body with less opportunities to work out the legs. Simple and easy, weight-lifting is a good way to build overall body strength for your heart and lungs as well.
