Jonathan H. Lack

Wellnicity Founder & President

Jonathan H. Lack, is Founder & President of Wellnicity. He is also Principal of ROI Ventures, a strategic planning and
turn-around advisory services boutique. Lack has extensive professional and personal experience in the health & wellness sector. During the summer and fall of 2010, Lack served as a strategic planning consultant to the Houston Endowment regarding a Harris County /City of Houston childhood obesity initiative that served as the genesis of Healthy Living Matters. Prior to that Lack, was the Founding Executive Director of the Houston Wellness Association from April 2007–June 2010) and served on its Board of Directors until September 2012. Lack also served on the Executive Council of the Mayor’s Wellness Council (2004–2009) started by former Mayor Bill White. He also founded Cardeo, the first consumer wellness expo and medical conference focusing on the prevention of heart disease and related contributors (August 2003 – September 2004).

In preparation for his 50th birthday, Lack ran his second Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge (half-marathon on a Saturday followed by a full-marathon the next day) in January 2012 and is in training to run his third Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge in January 2014.
 
Lack holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, a master's degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University's School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a bachelor's degree in Middle East Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.

Good health should always top your priority list! Thankfully a few minutes here and there are all it takes to bring balance to your busy life. You can stay fit by getting off the bus a stop early, taking the stairs whenever possible or walking to a coworker’s desk instead of e-mailing. Make eating right easy by scheduling a weekly supermarket trip, planning out your meals and bringing your lunch to work.

Write down the behavior changes you make this Monday and see how many times you can repeat them throughout the week. Each step may seem small but the results will add up quickly!
