Carol Sheffield Lapin, MS, RD, LD

Carol Sheffield Lapin is a Registered Dietitian and Exercise Specialist. Carol has a Master degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences, in addition to an undergraduate degree in Physical Education from The University of Texas. She is also a former All-America track athlete who attended the University of Texas in Austin on a track scholarship.

Carol has been a practicing R.D. since 1990. She spent 10 years as the staff Dietitian for The Houston Astros Baseball Club and was an Adjunct Professor in Nutrition and Exercise at Texas Woman's University in the Medical Center.

Mrs. Lapin provides presentations and classes on weight management and nutrition for corporate clients, and she is a well-known speaker on the topics of nutrition and wellness. She is past Co-Chair for the Cardiovascular & Wellness nutritionist segment of the practice group SCAN for the American Dietetic Association. Carol is Chair-Elect for SCAN for the 2013-2014 term and looks forward to leading the largest practice group within The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Mrs. Lapin is trusted to give good nutrition advice to patients referred to her by doctors in a number of specialties. She makes regular appearances on our Houston affiliate stations for Fox and CBS and is a frequent speaker public speaker on nutrition in wellness for corporations and organizations.

Carol's office is unique because she offers clients more than sound advice. She also has a kitchen to bring clients into so they can taste, smell, and see the delicious kind of foods they need to eat for good health.  She invites Houston restaurants to send their healthy menu items to be analyzed and posted on her HoustonRightDining.com website to help enhance the health of Houstonians.
